Heated functional underwear "rolliPant"
The heatable underpants for wheelchair users "rolliPant" warms the heating zones thighs, knees and calves with a Heizteufel battery pack. Very thin, highly flexible heating wires are permanently incorporated into the completely washable underpants and provide even heating without cold bridges or hot spots. The "rolliPant" is made of a breathable, skin-friendly and pleasantly soft thermal material. With its elastic structure, it ensures an excellent fit and shape retention. The "rolliPant" is machine-washable and quick-drying. The underpants are supplied as standard with an 80 cm long connection cable for the power supply.
For wheelchair users Heizteufel offers the following connection options for the power supply:
- Connection to the 12V and 24V wheelchair on-board socket by means of on-board power supply plug connection cable.
- Connection to the 24V charging socket of the wheelchair by means of a model-specific charging plug connection cable.
- Powerful battery packs suitable for outdoor use. For example, the PRO-PUSH-2 heating pack with illuminated pushbutton is a very good choice as an accessory. The heating time is over 2 1/2 hours at maximum heating power, and about 5 hours at low heating level. You can carry the battery packs in your pants or jacket pocket due to the long cable, but you can also put them in the pocket under the seat.
To adjust the heating power to the air temperature or personal comfort, the following heating controls can be conveniently used:
- Continuously adjustable 12V and 24V heating controllers for mounting on round as well as angular profiles by means of Velcro tape.
- A special variant is the Multicontroller, which can control the heating temperature of up to 5 different heating coverings. The control box is permanently installed on the wheelchair, the controllers are easily accessible, and the connection cables are plugged in at the back.
- The push button heating control is also very usable for people with grasping handicap. The battery pack is switched on after a 2-second push of the button with the highest heating level. After two further heating levels of 75% and 50%, the heating level starts again at 100%. The heating control is switched off with a 2-second push. The heating levels are reflected with an illumination of the button in the colors red - blue - green.
A special case in the choice of heating temperature is represented by persons with little or no sensation of warmth. To avoid burns as well as hypothermia, instead of adjustable heating controls, so-called small, waterproof thermostatic controls are incorporated into the underpants, which maintain the heating temperature at 37°C regardless of the respective weather and clothing. This technology was originally developed for athletic wheelchair activities such as ice curling and hand biking competitions. Today, it represents a comfort variant that can even control the heated insoles.
The "rolliPant" can be extended after consultation, with additional heating zones, e.g. a butt heating, or with a wiring for the later planned insoles, e.g. "insoleDeluxe". Furthermore, Heizteufel offers a variety of cabling and heating control systems that meet the versatile application requirements thanks to the latest heating technology. Cable note: The integrated output cable is standard on the left waistband.
Notes on safety and washing:
Heizteufel heating technology is durable with more than 10 years of use, highly flexible with more than 1,000,000 bends, it is tear and cut resistant as well as resistant to body perspiration. This means that the heating technology is also subject to the most demanding requirements, where heating systems with heating yarns or heating foils, on the other hand, can lead not only to failures in the heating areas and thus to the loss of heating, but also to short circuits and burns.
Heizteufel's heating garments excel with their permanent water resistance and thus high resistance to washing. You can wash the underwear in the wool wash cycle at 40°C with conventional detergent for colored or dark textiles, hang it up wet and let it dry. While you will not notice any heating losses with Heizteufel underwear even after years, heating yarns are very sensitive to detergents and may show losses in surface heating after just a few washes.

be it that you would like to have special body parts heated alternatively or additionally, or that cable adapters and heating controls have to be adapted for an already existing heating system, or that our heating technology is to be incorporated into your clothing, be it a jacket or a coat. Send us a detailed description of your request, preferably with a drawing of what and how you would like to have it. However, please keep in mind that good craftsmanship takes time and individual wishes cannot be made in the pre-Christmas period.

Provision of a personal garment for the production of a heating garment
Provisions of clothing will be charged with 30,- Euro handling fee per order, because there is a significant additional expenditure of working time compared to our webshop stock, starting with the incoming goods inspection, a production-oriented material inspection and quality recording up to the production as well as the insurance as well as transport legal responsibility. For this purpose, the customer can mark the desired heating zones on the provided material, which will be taken into account when preparing the offer.

Application for reimbursement of the cost of aids by the health insurance fund.
The recommended procedure so that the statutory health insurance can process your request for an aid as smoothly as possible:
- First, talk to your health insurance company about the process of applying for your request.
- The aid is usually prescribed by doctors. It is useful to have a detailed description of why the heated slip sack is mandatory as an assistive device.
- If the prescription specifies the zones to be heated and the heating duration, Heizteufel can prepare a concrete cost estimate for you - but this is not possible without a prescription.
- With the doctor's prescription and the cost estimate, you can apply to the statutory health insurance for the cost of the aids mentioned. Wait for a certificate or cost coverage from the health insurance company before placing an order.
- In some cases, other cost units may also be eligible, e.g. for professional reintegration.

Ah = ampere-hour, the minimum battery capacity required at 100% heating output.
Example calculation for an 11.1V battery supply:
4-zone shirt + gloves = 4.3A x 2.5h (heating time in hours) = 10.75Ah.The battery capacity should be at least 10.75Ah for 2.5 hours of heating.
The next larger battery technology would therefore be a battery with 11.1V/12Ah.
