The digital adjustable thermostat allows temperature accurate heating of heating mats, heating foils, heating plates and other heating products that need to work very accurately in a small temperature window and avoid temperature fluctuations. With the accuracy of 1°C, the temperature control range can be set from -50°C to +110°C. To avoid operating errors by third parties, an upper and lower heat limit can be set. The control thermostat allows switching voltages of 12V, 24V and 110/220V. The operating voltage supply depends on the model and is available for 12VDC, 24VDC and 220VAC applications.

Functional description
After turning on the thermostat <Rst> and setting the target temperature with <Set> temperature, e.g. 37 (°C) <Set>, the parameters are set to establish the operating function and, among other things, to increase the operating safety for other users. For example, the temperature of a heating mat for massage beds should not be able to be set too hot or too cold by employees, so consequently a minimum temperature of 33°C and a maximum temperature of 39°C are set. Within these temperature limits, the employee can quite easily choose between upper and lower values. If the target temperature deviates from the real temperature because the temperature sensor has a distance to the heating mat due to installation or the cable of the sensor is extended, the calibration compensates for a measurable difference between the set and actual temperature. The hysteresis designates the distance in °C from the target temperature at which the heating power is to be switched on and off. If the hysteresis is set to 1°C, the heating power is switched on at 36°C and switched off again when 37°C is reached. In addition, the heating power can be switched on in time intervals in the form of minute intervals. The switch-on then takes place whichever condition is fulfilled first, hysteresis or time.
